Painfully, I took the decision of skipping the Mumbai marathon. My ankle continues to hurt... and I did not want to go there and do some easy running. Maybe there is a silver lining in the clouds, with the upcoming Delhi Marathon.

I bet you made a good decision, though painful, since ankle injuries are kind of long term. hope your ankle heals well and all the best with the training.
That is really sad. I would have suggest that you run despite the injury if you were based in Bombay, but its not really worth it if you have to come all the way from Delhi. Am sure it will heal really quick. Suggest you visit a doc and get on a anti-inflamatory 5 day treatment, that should get you ready for the Delhi run, try and avoid any running for the next 7-10days. Thanks for the wishes guys... I am feeling a bit better now and one more week of rest should do me real good.
